Support a Bengal Brother and His Family

There will be a fundraiser on June 25, 2017 for Gabriel Samarin, son of Justin Samarin ’08 and his wife, who was diagnosed with R.M.S., a rare childhood cancer.  Your support and prayers are so appreciated.  Here is the June 25th Fundraiser flyer for Gabriel and letter from Justin to Abbot Gary.

Dear Fr. Gary,
I am writing you today not for myself, but for my son. On January 25th my son, Gabriel, was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma (R.M.S.). A rare childhood cancer, that caused a tumor behind his left eye. He has already gone through 14 weeks of chemo, one treatment per week, and is getting ready to start a daily radiation regimen on May 8. He has tolerated his treatment well thus far, unfortunately, he still has a long road ahead of him. My wife and I would truly appreciate the prayers and support of St. Andrew’s Abbey, and my fellow Men of Benedictine during these trying times. My family will be hosting a fundraiser for my son on June 25th. I have attached a flyer for your review. If you would, please post it in the bulletin at the Abbey and at the school. Thank you so much,  Justin Samarin ’08
