Junior State of America ~ Be the people.

jsaLOGOBenedictine’s Chapter of JSA traveled to Columbus for the final convention of the year. After going to Cincinnati in the Fall and Washington D.C. in the Winter, the club took twelve students to Spring State held at the State House. At the convention, students participated in debates about present-day issues. Senior Logan Haney, junior Joe LaForest, and sophomore Liam Haney were lead speakers and presented their arguments about several topics.

Jordan Parker ’17

Senior Jordan Parker was honored with  the “Statesman of the Year” award. This prestigious award was given to Jordan to recognize him for his leadership in JSA and his contributions to planning and executing the conventions throughout the year. This award is only given to one student from the hundreds of students that participate in JSA from Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky.

We look forward to next year as experienced members continue to grow and we welcome new members to the club.
