During these forty days of Lent, we have some Champion Service opportunities which align with our Hallmark of Service ~ “The brothers should serve one another. Consequently, no one will be excused from kitchen service unless he is sick or engaged in some important business of the monastery. Such service increases reward and fosters love. Let those who are not strong have help so that they may serve without distress.” Rule of St. Benedict 35:1-3
Every year our seniors, under the instruction of Mr. Tom Gallagher, complete a senior project as part of their Theology course. Senior Matt Laurienzo’s Service Project gives all of us an opportunity to help reconstruct the Monks of Norcia Monastery, which is the birthplace of St. Benedict and where a devastating earthquake struck the town of Norcia, Italy in October of this year. FOR MORE INFORMATION CONTACT: MATTHEW LAURIENZO through email LAURIEMA@CBHS.EDU.
The Sunshine Club is a service club that performs random acts of kindness inside and outside of our school. The Lenten Drive for the Domestic Violence and Children’s Advocacy Center has been an important project for this club. They hope to bring some sunshine to the children who have been displaced due to a violent home as well as provide necessities to the parent seeking shelter for their family. Please consider making a donation. Email Mrs. Perrotti for details. .
